TAPE Supports Marine Corps Scholarships in Central Florida

Orlando, Fl. – For the third consecutive year, Technical and Project Engineering, LLC (TAPE) is sponsoring a hole at the Central Florida Marine Corps Foundation (CFMCF) Golf Tournament and Silent Auction. The 30th annual edition of the event takes place on April 6th at Celebration Golf Club in Celebration, Florida.

The CFMCF Golf Tournament and Silent Auction raises scholarship funds that support local Marines or Navy corpsman in their work to further their education and skills. Dependents may also apply for scholarship funds. CFMCF generally awards $10,000 in scholarships annually, and has selected nine scholarship recipients for 2018.

CFMCF’s mission is to serve the local Marine Corps community by helping to preserve its traditions, provide a legacy for future generations, and offer every Marine and Marine family a voice. Besides the scholarships, CFMCF also supports job networking events for military personnel transitioning into civilian careers.

Carlos Cuevas, TAPE’s program manager for the Marine Corps Program Manager Training Systems Support Services (PTSS) team in Orlando stated, “As a retired Marine, I am very familiar with the great character and transferrable skill sets of those in the service. I am proud to play a part in helping other military veterans on the path toward joining me in the Central Florida business community.” Six members of TAPE’s PTSS team will play in the tournament.

“TAPE has been part of the Central Florida corporate community since 2013 and performed work for the Marine Corps from our Orlando office since 2015,” said President and CEO Louisa Long Jaffe. “This golf tournament allows us to give thanks to both. And as a veteran, the ability to help service members in their post-military careers makes supporting this event a hole-in-one opportunity.”
