Orlando, Fl. – Technical and Project Engineering, LLC (TAPE) will sponsor a hole at the Central Florida Marine Corps Foundation (CFMCF) Golf Tournament and Silent Auction for the fourth consecutive year. The 31st annual edition of the event takes place on April 5th at Disney’s Palm Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
The CFMCF golf tournament and silent auction raises scholarship funds that support local Marines or Navy corpsman and their families in their efforts to further their education and skills. CFMCF generally awards around at least $10,000 in scholarships annually.
CFMCF’s overall mission is to serve the Central Florida Marine Corps community by helping to preserve its traditions, provide a legacy for future generations of heroes, and offer every Marine and Marine family a voice. Besides the scholarships, CFMCF also supports job networking events for military personnel transitioning into civilian careers.
“Since 2013, TAPE has operated an office in Orlando from which we supported the Marine Corps’ mission for three years,” said President and CEO Louisa Long Jaffe. “Having grown up in Florida, both my husband cofounder Bill Jaffe, TAPE’s co-founder, and myself take pride in seeing Floridians succeed. And as a 28-year veteran of the Women’s Army Corps and U.S. Army Reserves, our having the ability to help service members transition to post-military careers makes supporting this important event an annual tradition at TAPE.”
