TAPE AMONG 14 COMPANIES AWARDED C5ISR CONTRACT BY U.S. NAVY SPAWAR SYSTEMS CENTER – CHARLESTON

WASHINGTON, DC | December 4, 2012 – TAPE announced it was one of 14 companies awarded a $98.7 million task order contract, base plus four-one year options, by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center-Atlantic (SSC-A).  TAPE, along with the other contractors, will compete to provide command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) electronics and communications services and solutions to support mission capabilities within cyber intelligence and information operations mission areas of SSC-A’s Integrated Cyber Operations (ICO) portfolio. The work may be performed at locations worldwide including Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and/or Pakistan.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to invest in the economic growth and development of the Charleston community,” said Louisa Jaffe, TAPE CEO and President.

In April, SPAWAR Systems Center Charleston awarded TAPE a C4ISR indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for program management and integrated logistics (PMILS) work.  Like PMILS, under ICO, TAPE is now eligible to bid on a range of task orders.   The work TAPE will bid on under ICO may include the design, development, integration and testing for systems and networks; perform security engineering services; analyze specifications and performance; verification and validation testing; and conduct cyber forensics tasks.

“This is another great opportunity for TAPE to demonstrate its technical expertise in cyber warfare.  We are poised to support SSC-A with the best people working to develop the best solutions,” said Mark Mohler, Vice President, Programs, Acquisition, and Engineering is the contract lead for TAPE.  “Along with our teammates, ARINC Engineering Services, LLC; SecureForce; Compendium Federal Technology, LLC (CFT); M.C. Dean, Inc.; and LATG, Inc. we intend to hire the best and the brightest Charleston has to offer.”
