Alexandria, Va. – Technical and Project Engineering, LLC (TAPE), “Measure Us By Your Results®,” announced today that the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC) certified TAPE as a woman-owned and controlled business.

While TAPE had already self-certified as a woman-owned small business for many years, NWBOC is the first Small Business Administration-approved, third-party certifier for the set-aside designation. The certification lasts from February 16, 2021 until February 15, 2022, at which point TAPE can reapply. TAPE is certified for North American Industrial Classification
System (NAICS) codes 541690 – Other Scientific and Technical Consulting, 541611 –Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services, and 541519 – Other Computer Related Services.

The advantage of the certification is that NWBOC vetted TAPE within the federal and state procurement arena to enable us to bid on opportunities reserved for women-owned businesses. The certification also provides a slight advantage on open market bids as agencies seek to hit goals for doing business with women-owned firms.
