Louisa L. Jaffe

2014_tape_louisa_jaffe-2_small-1As co-founder and CEO/President of TAPE, Ms. Jaffe manages TAPE’s business affairs, client and corporate relations, and marketing outreach. Most recently, she stood up a new Products Division, which will focus on a new approach to training. As Lieutenant Colonel Louisa Long Cullem, she served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) and the U.S. Army Reserves for 28 years. Ms. Jaffe separated from the Army Reserves in 2002, after the military called her to active duty in response to the events of September 11, 2001. During her military career, Ms. Jaffe served in the Pentagon as a Media Relations and Public Affairs Officer for the Secretary of the Army Public Affairs for more than 12 years, including service during the first Gulf War. She also provided public affairs support for the Army Materiel Command, the U.S. Readiness Command, the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), the Army CIO, and the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence. Throughout her military career in public affairs, Ms. Jaffe supported Army Senior Leadership as a spokesperson responding to the press on a variety of sensitive issues.

During the last half of her military career, Ms. Jaffe worked simultaneously as an Army reservist and within private industry, where she has more than 45 years of experience in business ownership and management, public affairs, and information technology.

Ms. Jaffe holds a BA in English from the University of Florida (Gainesville) and a BS in Citrus Management from Florida Southern College (Lakeland). As part of her post-graduate studies in business management, Ms. Jaffe completed certification training as an ORACLE Database Administrator, as well as Masters level courses in Business at Central Michigan University. She is also a graduate of the Women’s Army Corps Officer Basic Course, Army Adjutant General Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, and the Army Command and General Staff College.

In 2016, Ms. Jaffe received the Smart CEO Brava Award and also selected as Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2015, the Honorable Robert A. McDonald, Secretary of Veterans Affairs, appointed Ms. Jaffe to a two-year term serving on an executive advisory committee on women veterans’ issues. In 2014, the National Veteran-Owned Business Association selected Ms. Jaffe as the “First Annual Woman Vetrepreneur of the Year” and later that year, the White House honored her as a veteran/entrepreneur “Champion of Change.” Also, she is a member of Women in Defense (WID), Women in Technology (WIT), Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), the Retired Military Officers Association (RMOA), the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), and several other women’s and executive groups. She also has served as a member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Executive Advisory Board and the Army Women’s Foundation Planning Committee, as well as the Renaissance Executive Forum. In 1996, Ms. Jaffe became a charter member of the Women In Military Service for America Memorial Foundation (WIMSA) and is proud to have attended the dedication of the memorial in 1997.
