TAPE Promotes John B. Moore to SVP/Chief Growth Officer

September 15, 2020

Alexandria, VA. – Technical and Project Engineering, LLC (TAPE) announced today that Vice President, Business Development John B. Moore is promoted to Senior Vice President/Chief Growth Officer. He is assuming the role of the recently deceased co-founder of TAPE, Bill Jaffe.

In this position, Mr. Moore will lead the planning and execution of business development, capture, proposals, and marketing. He will focus on corporate growth and building lasting relationships with TAPE’s government and industry partners.

Mr. Moore joined TAPE in 2018 as Director of Capture Management and was promoted earlier this year to Vice President, Business Development within the Executive Staff.

A 23-year Army veteran, Mr. Moore served as a logistician and retired as a Field Grade Officer. He participated in Operation Joint Endeavour as part of the NATO-led Implementation Force to maintain peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He later was part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mr. Moore’s military positions included Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Executive Officer, and numerous Battalion, Brigade, and Division staff roles. His military decorations included the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal.

In his nearly 20-year civilian government contracting career, Mr. Moore served successfully in various management roles in engineering and business development. He honed leadership, technical, and business development skills from small firms to large ones such as CSC, Leonardo DRS, and L-3 Communications.

“Bill Jaffe was my friend, mentor, and boss. His unwavering business enthusiasm and commitment and zest for life were always inspiring,” Mr. Moore said. “While I know that I have giant shoes to fill, I plan to leverage my skills, experience, and Bill’s lessons to carry on TAPE’s business development with the same vigor and efficacy which our partners and clients expect.”

“John has done a fabulous job working with Bill since 2018 to increase and diversify TAPE’s contract work and pipeline of new opportunities,” TAPE President and CEO Louisa Long Jaffe stated. “While this leadership transition was unexpected and unplanned, I have the fullest confidence that John will execute smoothly and that TAPE’s best days are ahead.”
