TAPE AWARDED THREE-YEAR CONTRACT ON ARMY TRAINING MODELS
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]WASHINGTON, DC | September 11, 2013– Technical and Project Engineering, LLC (TAPE), an Inc. 500 | 5000 fastest-growing company, announced today that it has been awarded a three-year contract extension to provide management support to the Department of the Army’s (DOA) Army Training Models (ATM). TAPE was originally awarded the prime contract for this work in 2007.
Under this contract, TAPE will continue to support the Army Training Directorate, the Army National Guard, the Office of the Chief of Army Reserves and Army Commands, including the Army Special Operations Command, by developing and allocating training resources that support the Army’s Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) submissions to the Office of the Secretary of Defense as well as the U.S. Congress. ATM is comprised of the Battalion Level Training Model, the Training Resource Model, the Aviation Training Resource Model, and the Institutional Training Resource Model.
TAPE’s scope of work on this contract includes: Software Development and Support, Functional Analysis, and Staff Support at the Pentagon, Ft. Eustis, Ft. Belvior, Ft. Bragg, Ft. Rucker, Ft. Gilliam and Ft. Sill. Having primed this contract for more than six years, TAPE brings consistency, specialized expertise, and institutional knowledge to ATM. Joel Fleck, TAPE’s vice president for defense programs, serves as the ATM Deputy Program Manager and has overseen the program for 24 years.
“ATM is a prime example of TAPE’s ability to spearhead the management of large programs while leveraging the capabilities and expertise of its subcontracting partners,” said Fleck. “With this contract renewal, our goal is to continue to provide excellent service as verified by the stellar ratings we’ve received on our DOA CPARS.”
“This is a marquee achievement for TAPE,” added James Brantley, TAPE’s chief operating officer and ATM program manager. “Many of our competitors have spent a lot of time trying to emulate what we do, but as one of our customer’s once said, ‘You do what you do so well that many others [competitors] think they can do it.’”
The ATM contract includes 69 full-time exempt positions with potential for expansion. Throughout the life of the contract, TAPE has partnered with Engility, CACI, Oak Grove and the Ravens Group. These companies will continue to serve as subcontractors on ATM.
